1895, on Stage in Vienna
The earliest record I have found of a performance by Paul Josef Martin Eisler is this 1895 broadside, although his official debut was noted to be in 1893. The large poster is showing major wear to the tissue-thin paper, but most of the wording is legible.
At this December evening performance in Vienna 20 year old Eisler is playing a poetic group of pieces by Schuman, Liszt, Mascagni, Saint Saens alongside the soprano belle of the Vienna Opera, Antonie Schläger.
