I just love the cover design to this cartoon music which features the name of Paul Eisler in the lower right. I haven’t yet seen the cartoon in it’s entirety in my adult life, but I seem to have vague childhood memories of it presented rerun style. Trolling around libraries and the internet for more info on the cartoon led me to these two selections posted to youtube. In each of these youtube videos the first 60 seconds or so each contain clips from the Cartoon “Dish Ran Away with the Spoon” which was also the blog story from the other day. In each, the 1933 cartoon version precedes the later song-and-dance routine.

“Shuffle off to Buffalo”

and “Young And Healthy”

I guarantee you will have these tunes stuck in your head after just one listen. If not, check your heartbeat.

  1. I totally remember this cartoon, could it have been played before a Bugs Bunny or maybe on Saturday mornings at some point? There is something so familiar about this!!
